Nothing works. The eraser, the paintbrush, the text, none of it works. Cropping and resizing are painful to deal with. It’s free for a reason. Don’t bother.

This app will not open on my computer. Worked for like a week, then just stopped.

I don’t understand why the iMac doesn’t come with a simple program like this to touch up photos, Widnows did but I’m never going back to Windows. I had an old photo that had some tiny imperfections, that aren’t noticeable on the paper photo but once it is scanned and seen on a big screen they are very prevalent. Thanks to this app I was able to use the dropper to get the color, and had various options (pencil, different brush sizes) to fill in the tiny imperfections. This app has all I have ever needed for touching up photos and it’s free. Also, unlike Paint X Lite, this app doesn’t insert it’s own name in the photo.

Sometimes it turns the gamma or something up on the picture when i open it and it makes everything have a red/pink tint when i save

really good app. im creating my business logo and its helped me a lot than any other free app.

I was surprised to find so many features in a free app, then surprised even more that they work so well. Ive used Photoshop for years but I must admit this app can easily replace Photoshop because its perfect for what I need, and its free!

Cant save any project. Crashes everytime. After wasting my time twice, decided to delete.

I can figure out through trial and error, but there seems to be NO instructions, no Help, NOTHING. I make modifications and there is NO SAVE option. This is effectively useless.

I’m a graphic designer and I like to check out free software. Especially software that might be useful to me in my work or to reccomend to friends that dabble in photography or need a quick, easy fix on something. I own and use Adobe products, so that’s my standard for comparison and this app is good enough for free. It covers a good bit with regards to photo tools and has basic drawing tools. It allows for using layers, has several selection tools, a decent amount of effects and includes blend modes. The text editor is sorta so so, but If you export a .jpg/jpeg, .tiff, etc…, you can add better looking text with Preview. If you’ve used either of Adobe’s pro or consumer photo apps, the interface might take a bit of getting used to, but just about anything an occassional user would want or need is available and a file can be saved in an open doc format (.xcf) for re-edit, or additonal edit. Supports the most common formats for export. I’d recommend this to friends over a paid app for just about anything they might need to do to a snapshot.

I’ve only been using it for a bit here (can’t afford photoshop and need to edit for a work project) and the only problem I’ve found is that if you do anything to the whole image, e.g. accidentally fill it with color or make the whole thing blur, you can’t undo it. Which is really annoying because your work just…goes away. Oops. But it’s free, so there’s that.

I was just looking for a free program that could do a 512 x 512 image with a gradient background for my first iOS app ever. This did just the trick, so five stars. Now, some limitations are that most of the features are not intuitive or easy to use. For example, you can’t edit both the background and the foreground color of your gradient at once. You have to switch between the two which takes about four clicks each time. Hassle! But at the end of the day it got the job done and I didn’t pay anything for it, so five stars for whoever made this.

Could not figure out how to draw a simple rectangle frame or elipse frame similar to Windows paint program. I see a pencil and a paint brush. Is that it?

Its a good app but I’ve tried to start a project 5 times and every time I get the 3rd image imported and scaled the app force closes.

All I wanted to do is find something to put messages, lines and other graphics on pictures. And it is much better organized and planned than other types of apps that cost me money.

Love the effects of it, now i don’t need need heavy photoshop anymore. this app work well for me.

First, I’m a PShop v01 (old timer) turned programmer and I commend the developers for this/their product. I feel bad for writing this review because I know how hard it is to “get it right”. That said, what I need to do is so simple and yet this app won’t do it… At least not consistently and not intuitively. Imagine a simple black dot on a white background… All I need to do is sample the white, hit delete and have a black dot on alpha. This is kindergarten stuff, yet this app doesn’t do that!!! Oi! Sometimes, code is written without an emphasis on the end user and this app exemplifies this. I wasted $5 bucks to find this out about this app. @Developers of this app - Try using and mastering (to an intermediate level) mainstream graphic and photo editing software and then write code… Without mentioning vendor names, after 25 some odd years, the early graphic and photo editing software vendors have establish “a way of doing things”. The masses of users have come to know these patterns as an informal standard. I humbly advise not deviating from these established patterns which this app does.

Crashed within a couple of minutes everytime. No explanation for buttons at top. Unusable free app. Bye.

After installing El Capitan, Image Editor doesn’t work well enough to use. Pasting into workspace is no good, once it’s there it cannot be moved or anchored which makes it useless. Since I’ve been using it, 6-8 Months, I’ve never been able to get text function to work

Mybe it is because i upgraded to El Capitan Not sure by i just downloaded this program and it keeps crashing
